“History, as can’t be said too often, is human. It is about people, and they speak to us across the years.”
~ David McCullough, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of John Adams

“Tell stories.”
~Barbara Tuchman, famed historian and author of The Guns of August, when asked what the secret was to making history interesting and exciting

I’m Terry Crowley, a freelance writer from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, specializing in local history. I tell stories about the people, places and events of days gone by. My articles have appeared in The Retrospect (Collingswood, NJ), The Camden County Historical Society Communicator, Good Old Days magazine and Retrospective: The Essential Memory Lane Collection, Volume II. I also have a Florida History Blog where there are stories from the Sunshine State, and I give presentations to community organizations about local history topics.
Please contact me if your organization, business, local newspaper, magazine, website or blog needs some good history stories.
In addition to freelance writing, I provide editing, proofreading, research, and fact-checking services for writers.
